Addressing Transit Needs in Burlington

Two CCBF-funded projects completed in November 2023 have improved transit services in the City of Burlington.

The City invested in improvements to ten city buses, including major engine and transmission rehabilitation as part of the City’s bus repair and renewal program and transit capital program. Additionally, the City replaced seven buses that no longer served the City’s transit needs.

In Burlington, an estimated 2.8 million people used city transit in 2023. According to a recent survey, people most often use Burlington transit to head to work and school, access services and attend medical appointments.
