Baldwin Upgrades Outdated Heating System for Key Municipal Buildings

The Township of Baldwin upgraded the heating system for its Town Hall, fire department, and public works garage in 2024 with a $47,000 investment from the Canada Community-Building Fund.

The new system is significantly more energy-efficient, meaning it will save on costs and help reduce the municipality’s carbon footprint. The upgrade will also allow for a switch to scheduled thermostats that provide more precise timing and temperatures.

Located north of Manitoulin Island and near Sudbury, Baldwin requires high quality heating for its cold winters. This proactive measure is important to keep the critical functions of the town running smoothly for many years and winters to come.
