City of St. Catharines Rehabilitates Eight Roads

The City of St. Catharines is investing $2 million dollars in funding from the Canada Community-Build Fund to increase safety and strengthen the lifespan of eight roads throughout the city, including Grantham Avenue, St. Paul Street and Haynes Avenue.

The road resurfacing project includes milling and repaving, spot curb and sidewalk repairs, manhole adjustments, as well as the installation of subdrain if required.

All the improvements to the road network are expected to be completed by June 2025.

Infrastructure like St. Catharines’ road network is critical to the quality of life for citizens that live, work and play in the City. Projects like this also provide opportunities for economic development to help sustain new and existing businesses and the overall economic viability of the community.
