Petawawa Takes a One-And-Done Approach to Rehabilitating Wolfe Avenue

An 800-metre stretch of Wolfe Avenue in the Town of Petawawa is undergoing a full transformation.

The Town is adding a multi-use path for cycling and walking, a new crosswalk, repaving the roadway and upgrading underground water and sewer infrastructure. The project is funded in-part by the CCBF.

Wolfe Avenue is one of Petawawa’s busiest Streets. It connects to the downtown, and to one of the town’s largest employers, Canadian Forces Base Petawawa.

The Town coordinated to complete all the necessary infrastructure and road work at once to save time and minimize disruptions to local area residents and businesses.

Additionally, a new crosswalk and multi-use path will help cyclists and pedestrians connect to Millennium Trail, a popular multi-use path and part of Petawawa’s active transportation network.
