Residential Streets Rehabilitated in Sables-Spanish Rivers

Three residential streets in the Township of Sables-Spanish Rivers have been rehabilitated, thanks to an investment of $350,000 from the Canada Community-Building Fund.

Second Street, Third Street, and Young Street were all identified as being in poor condition in the Township’s asset management plan. The asphalt surfaces had reached the end of their lifespan, and the road condition was frustrating the Township’s residents. The surfaces were torn up and resurfaced with a thick layer of asphalt.

The rehabilitation will improve the overall safety of the road for all users and extend the road’s lifespan by 25 years.
