Township of Perth South Repaves Whalen Line

Using a $125,000 investment from the Canada Community-Building Fund, The Township of Perth South recently repaved a section of Whalen Line.

A road condition evaluation on Whalen Line, a rural roadway in the municipality, determined a seven kilometre stretch of the road was in need of rehabilitation. 

Public Works last rehabilitated the road in 2017, and the road’s condition had deteriorated since. 

Township crews applied new asphalt to the road’s surface. This additional layer increases the road’s load-bearing capacity and extends its lifespan, meaning it can better serve Township residents for years to come.
