Township of Springwater Rehabilitates Local Road

The Township of Springwater recently invested $375,000 from the Canada Community Building Fund into the reconstruction of a rural road.

Just over 2 kilometers of Golf Course Road, from Highway 26 to Hendrie Road, were rehabilitated this year. Township crews repaved the asphalt driving surface and shoulders and painted new lines on the road.

The repaved driving surface and repainted lines will make the roadway safer for drivers, and the new shoulders will extend the road’s lifespan by guiding water away from the surface. This project benefits the residents and farmers who live on Golf Course Road, and the many visitors who use the road to commute to nearby towns.
