Two Roads Upgraded in Gravenhurst

The Town of Gravenhurst invested $1.2 million from the Canada Community-Building Fund to finance two projects aiming to rehabilitate more than 4.5 lane km of roads in 2023.

Gravenhurst’s Roads Needs Study identified sections of Jim Wood Lane and Reay Road as being in poor condition. Both roads had significant asphalt cracking and surface deterioration.

CCBF funding helped the Town rebuild and resurface 0.5 km of Jim Wood Lane and 4 km of Reay Road. With the work complete, both roads meet municipal service standards.

The stability and permanency of the CCBF helps communities like Gravenhurst plan for and address their most pressing infrastructure needs, like road and highway improvements.
