Upgrades to Recreation Centre Make a Big Difference in Red Rock

Renovations funded by the CCBF at Red Rock’s recreation facility have had a big impact on the small community. 

The municipal recreation centre is the hub of Red Rock. It’s used by residents and visitors from surrounding communities, and features a bowling alley, gymnasium, weight room, arena and restaurant along with other amenities. The building is aging, but remains an essential part of Red Rock. Keeping the building open and functional for residents is a priority.  

In 2023, Red Rock invested in modernizing the plumbing in the rec centre’s restaurant, “Bussin’ B’s”. Plumbing in the restaurant was old, poorly sloped and constantly backing up. The issue had been going on for years, and it was becoming impossible to operate the restaurant for community events. Thanks to investments from the CCBF, the kitchen plumbing was totally upgraded to commercial standards. 

Now the restaurant is serving up some great local food to residents and visitors.
