Barrie’s Waterfront Wi-Fi System

The City of Barrie invested the Canada Community-Building Fund in an innovative free public Wi-Fi network.

Installation of Wi-Fi coverage along a portion of Barrie’s waterfront was completed in spring 2020, providing residents and visitors with free access while enjoying parks, trails and beaches.

This is a multi-phase project that is scheduled to be complete by the end of 2021, allowing even more residents and visitors to stay connected when out and about in Barrie.
