Bluewater Replaces Damaged Bridge

The Municipality of Bluewater has replaced a damaged bridge with the help of a $236,000 CCBF investment.

The bridge serves as a vital connecting route for the local agricultural sector and large farm machinery. After being struck by a vehicle in June 2022, it was closed due to significant structural damage which forced local traffic to take detours around the area.

The incident damaged the railings which acted as support beams, and a review done by a structural engineer concluded that the bridge could no longer carry vehicles safely.

Bluewater's replaced the bridge in 2023 and re-opened to traffic in January of 2024.
