The CCBF and Housing Needs Assessments

Under the renewed municipal funding agreements lower- and single-tier municipalities with a population above 30,000 – as listed in AMO’s Housing Report under the CCBF – are required to prepare a Housing Needs Assessment (HNA). The HNA is to be used to prioritize, where possible, infrastructure or capacity building projects that support increased housing supply where it makes sense to do so. 

AMO provided a webinar in August and in October and released an updated FAQ related to the HNA requirement and are continuing to work with municipalities to help support them in this requirement.
