Hanover Fire Hall Grows to Meet Town’s Needs

A new 15,500 square-foot fire hall will accommodate the Town of Hanover’s growing fire department and truck fleet.

The Town is investing $250,000 from the Canada Community-Building Fund into a new, larger facility that will also be net-zero. Hanover’s fire department has grown significantly over the past few years, and the old fire hall was no longer big enough.

The new hall will have solar panels on the roof, providing a clean source of electricity to the building, and contributing to its net-zero status. It will also have multiple training areas, office spaces, and additional bays for the department’s  fire vehicles.

The new hall will meet National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards, as well as occupational health and safety requirements, and provide new opportunities for training and firefighting resources. The Town will finish construction on the building in late 2024.
