More Than a Dozen Roads in Stone Mills Improved

It was a busy construction season in the Township of Stone Mills. Crews were out surface treating several urban and rural roads throughout the municipality over the summer months.

Stone Mills invested CCBF funding to upgrade sections of more than a dozen roads totaling around 7 lane km of improvements.

This work aligns with Stone Mills’ asset management plan priorities and contributes to the longevity of its road network. It also helps ensure roads meet municipal standards and are safe for motorists.

More than 60 per cent of annual Canada Community-Building Fund investments are used to construct or rehabilitate local roads, bridges and culverts. In 2023 alone, municipalities invested more than $550 million into road improvement projects.
