New Greenhouse Provides City of Windsor with Space to Grow

The City of Windsor completed construction of a new greenhouse complex in Jackson Park in 2022, thanks to investments from the CCBF.

This new greenhouse is a replacement for an older greenhouse that was nearly a century old, located at Lanspeary Park. At 22,000 square feet of propogation space and another 3,500 square feet dedicated to display and recreational/educational visits, the new greenhouse has more than double the space.  

Along with this new space, the new greenhouse will have an additional priority: community outreach and hosting events. There are plans in the future to provide educational classes, providing students with the opportunity to learn about horticulture from experts. 

The City of Windsor is now equipped with the tools and space they need to provide residents with fascinating educational and recreational experiences.
