Peterborough Adds Active Transportation Lanes to County Road

Work on County Road 10 in Peterborough County has expanded options for travel in the region. 

In 2023, the County invested the CCBF into rehabilitating the road, which was noted to be in poor condition. There were drainage problems along the roadway, causing deterioration, among other issues. 

Investments from the Fund allowed Peterborough County to not only improve the roadway, but also widen the shoulder of the road and pave it to create new cyclist-friendly lanes. 

As a result, the road is now safer for everyone, and allows for alternative modes of transportation, further helping to connect the community.
