Ten Kilometres of Roads Resurfaced in Georgina
A large-scale roads project was completed in the Town of Georgina in the fall of 2021, thanks to investments from the Canada Community-Building Fund.
Georgina used a partial investment from the fund to improve safety and comfort for travelers on several roadways in the municipality. These upgrades included resurfacing more than 10 kilometres of driving lanes.
Rehabilitation of Georgina’s roadways will extend their lifespan and enhance safety for residents.
Each year, the Canada Community-Building Fund supports hundreds of road projects similar to Georgina’s. In 2021 alone, municipalities across the province invested over $545 million into local roads and bridges in their communities.
