Tillsonburg Improves Young Street Meaning Smoother Drives and Better Drainage

Investments from the CCBF allowed The Town of Tillsonburg to complete rehabilitation of Young Street. This included adding proper storm drainage and improving the driving surface. 

The lack of proper drainage had been a relatively minor issue for years, until a nearby church completed renovations to their parking lot, which compounded the issue. Without a clear path for the rain to follow, it would create its own. This led to water running down the property line between two residences, eroding a slope into their yards. 

Storm sewers to a nearby ditch were installed, providing rainwater with a clear path away from the nearby residences.  After the sewers were installed, the road was refurbished to provide a smoother driving surface.
