Wondering who will win this year’s award?

The AMO federal Gas Tax Awards recognize excellence in the use of the federal Gas Tax Fund. Recipients are celebrated on the main stage of AMO’s Annual Conference in Ottawa – shining a national spotlight on an excellent local project.

The Hon. François-Philippe Champagne, Minister of Infrastructure and Communities Canada, will announce the winner on August 20th. We won’t give anything away at this point – but we can say that the Awards Committee was extraordinarily impressed with the winning community’s innovative approach and commitment to energy-efficient design.

This year’s winner will be the 27th municipality to receive an award or honourable mention since the AMO federal Gas Tax Awards were created in 2008. Learn more about the history of the awards here.
