Eligible Projects
Projects eligible for Canada Community-Building funding under this category are those that result in the construction, material enhancement or renewal of infrastructure related to the movement of cargo or passengers around the coast and on inland waterways, without directly crossing an ocean.
Examples
Eligible projects under this category include (but are not limited to):
- Upgrading a dock's layout areas to improve safety and reduce delays of sealift unloading;
- Improving safe access for barge offloading which will reduce delays and resupply costs; and
- Planning, design, and construction of new barge landing sites.
