Eligible Projects
Projects eligible for Canada Community-Building funding under this category are those that result in the construction, material enhancement or renewal of infrastructure that supports solid waste management systems (including the collection, diversion, and disposal of recyclables, compostable materials, and garbage).
Examples
Eligible projects under this category include (but are not limited to):
- Purchasing garbage trucks or other rolling stock as components of a waste-management system;
- Installing a leachate collection system in a landfill;
- Purchasing balers for depots to load more material on trucks reducing costs to get material to processor; and
- Expanding a transfer station.
