Eligible Projects
Projects eligible for Canada Community-Building funding under this category are those that result in the construction, material enhancement or renewal of infrastructure that attracts travelers for recreation, leisure, business or other purposes.
Examples
Eligible projects under this category include (but are not limited to):
- Expanding a zoo and aquaria for public use;
- Renovating a convention centre or an exhibition hall for public use;
- Building visitor centres, tourism bureaus, and interpretive centres;
- Construction of a scenic parkway or scenic overlook; and
- Building or renovating public lavatories, servicing sites or facilities frequented by the public.
