Eligible Projects

Projects eligible for Canada Community-Building funding under this category are those that result in the construction, material enhancement or renewal of fire halls and fire station infrastructure.

Examples

Eligible projects under this category include (but are not limited to):

• Construction of new fire halls;
• Improvements, upgrades and expansions, including roof, doors, floors, gear room and office, stairs, lighting;
• Construction of a fire training facility as part of a fire house construction or upgrade; and
• Acquiring fire trucks when linked to a comprehensive fire hall improvement. Note: fire trucks are eligible as stand-alone purchases under the 2024-2034 CCBF agreements.
